Softball Recap: Chantilly Find Success

Chantilly's game on Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Herndon Hornets by a score of 3-0. This was payback for the Chargers, who suffered a 13-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Not much got past Bella Eig, who gave up just a hit and racked up 17 Ks to keep Herndon off the board.

On the hitting side, Mia Tizol was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one run. Another player making a difference was Ellie Whiteman, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Chantilly kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2025.

Chantilly now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Herndon, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Chantilly will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Broad Run at 6:30 p.m. on April 8. As for Herndon, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-0 defeat against Langley on the 27th.
