Basketball Recap: Lighthouse Prep Academy Takes a Loss

Lighthouse Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Heartland Christian Academy Eagles and fell 71-44. Lighthouse Prep Academy was down 57-32 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Lighthouse Prep Academy's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Fowler, who went 5 of 7 to rack up 14 points. Fowler continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Stammer, who posted 15 points.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Heartland Christian Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Titus Bock, who had 17 points. The matchup was Bock's seventh in a row with at least 17 points. Rylee Kiser was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Lighthouse Prep Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Heartland Christian Academy, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Lighthouse Prep Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Heartland Christian Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Bevier at 7:00 p.m. on February 17th. One thing working in Heartland Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
