Baseball Recap: Bear Creek Bears vs. Arvada West Wildcats

Bear Creek had lost four straight at home dating back to last season, but on Thursday they dropped their record down to 3-10 to make it five. They lost 12-0 to the Arvada West Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-0 on Tuesday.

Bear Creek saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Nelson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Aidan Bolan also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

As for Arvada West, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-2-1. Considering they have won five contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

On Arvada West's side, they let Cooper Vais and Jeramiah Gonzales run wild. Vais went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Gonzales went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Gonzales a new career-high.
