Baseball Recap: O'connor Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

O'Connor can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They skirted past the Marshall Rams 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Panthers have posted since February 28, 2025.

Brooks Dutko tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because O'Connor is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 2-13-3 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Brody Potter was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

O'Connor's win bumped their record up to 5-13-3. As for Marshall, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11-1 record this season.

Coincidentally, O'Connor and Marshall will both be playing Holmes the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Huskies at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Rams will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on the 13th.
