Softball Recap: Asheville Takes a Loss

Asheville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 29th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 17-0 to the McDowell Titans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Cougars of the 7-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Asheville's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for McDowell, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Asheville Cougars challenge Hendersonville Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for McDowell, they will welcome Erwin at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
