Volleyball Recap: Clover Takes a Loss

Clover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Palisades Pumas. The Blue Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pumas apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Clover's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Palisades, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Clover and Palisades could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in their respective state rankings. The Blue Eagles (ranked 64th) will meet Cardinal Newman (ranked sixth) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Palisades will square off against Ardrey Kell at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (217 vs. 101).
