Softball Recap: Dighton-Rehoboth Regional's Win on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Nine

Dighton-Rehoboth Regional came tearing into Saturday's matchup with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Bridgewater-Raynham Trojans.

Edy LaTour spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on six hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Cam Cloonan, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. Emma Horrocks was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Dighton-Rehoboth Regional pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Bridgewater-Raynham, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
