Basketball Game Preview: Citronelle Wildcats vs. McIntosh Demons

The Citronelle Wildcats will take on the McIntosh Demons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Tuesday, Citronelle took a blow against Vigor, falling 72-34. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Wolves are ranked 99th).

Meanwhile, McIntosh ended up a good deal behind Southern Choctaw on Thursday and lost 53-35. The game marked the Demons' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Citronelle dropped their record down to 6-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for McIntosh, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Citronelle strolled past McIntosh in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a score of 66-52. The rematch might be a little tougher for Citronelle since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
