Softball Recap: Blake Comes Up Short

Blake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 17-1 to the Breck Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-0 back in April.

Blake saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilah Mairose, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one run.

Blake's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Breck, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-4.

Coincidentally, Blake and Breck will both be playing Minnehaha Academy the next time they take the field. The Bears will host the Red Hawks at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Mustangs will head out to face them at 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
