Recap: Linn Wildcats vs. Eldon Mustangs
After an 18-4 finish the last time they played, Linn and Eldon decided to play a little more cautiously this time around. The Linn Wildcats fell just short of the Eldon Mustangs by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. Linn was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Eldon apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2021.
Linn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bobby Winkelman, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Linn's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.
Linn didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 5-3 win vs. Eugene on the 16th. As for Eldon, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Blair Oaks at 5:00 p.m. on April 2nd.
