Basketball Recap: KIPP College Prep Takes a Loss

KIPP College Prep played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Ballou Knights, falling 54-34. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Knights: they've now lost three in a row.

Despite the loss, KIPP College Prep still got an impressive performance from Mikah Prescott-Bell, who posted 11 points.

Among those leading the charge was Antonio King, who put up 13 points. Another player making a difference was Keshaun Mack, who scored 11 points.

KIPP College Prep now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Ballou, they moved to 12-10 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

KIPP College Prep will face off against Thurgood Marshall Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. KIPP College Prep is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.1 points per game this season. As for Ballou, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 63-55 loss against Roosevelt on the 1st.
