Terry Sanford (Fayetteville, N.C.) took the final lead of the game on Saturday as
Jamall Daniels ran for a touchdown with under a minute left, bringing the team to victory over
Cape Fear (Fayetteville, N.C.) 24-21.
The Colts pulled ahead on a Daniels touchdown run, and subsequently went into halftime leading 14-10. The Bulldogs scored the winning points with a Daniels touchdown run that came in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring seven points in the third, Terry Sanford still trailed by 3 points going into the fourth quarter. But seven points in the fourth helped TS pull out the victory.
The Bulldogs' most effective player was Daniels. The junior running back ran for two touchdowns. He has now scored three touchdowns on the season.
Spencer Faircloth played well for Cape Fear. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown. He has now scored three touchdowns on the season.
Terry Sanford got revenge for last year's 36-26 loss to CF with the victory.
The win was a nice bounce back for TS, which lost to E.E. Smith last week, 41-14.
In a 4A Mid-South game next week Terry Sanford (4-4) takes on Seventy-First, and Cape Fear (1-7) will go up against Jack Britt also in a 4A Mid-South game.
