Highland faced Canyon Ridge in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Rams' defense stepped up to hand the Riverhawks a 4-0 shutout. Considering Highland have won six matchups by more than two goals this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Canyon Ridge with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Devree Bell, Taryn Roth, Alexis Vawdrey, and Ashlyn Hale.

The win (which was Highland's third in a row) raised their record to 6-3-1. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those three games. As for Canyon Ridge, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 4-3-2.

Coincidentally, Highland and Canyon Ridge will both be playing Rigby the next time they take the pitch. The Rams will head out to face the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Riverhawks will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
