Basketball Recap: Knoxville Christian Takes a Loss

Knoxville Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 87-43 loss at the hands of the Maryville Christian Eagles. The Knights were probably out for revenge after losing 78-40 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Knoxville Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Maryville Christian, they pushed their record up to 5-5 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Knoxville Christian will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Foundation Christian Academy at 9:00 a.m. on January 4, 2025. Maryville Christian and Lakeway Christian Academy will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Maryville Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
