It's playoff time, and Seguin had no trouble coming through when it counted. They beat the South San Antonio Bobcats on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-1. The Matadors are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 20 straight.

Ethan Tipple was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over seven innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ian Moreno, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played. Matthew Marek was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Seguin's win bumped their record up to 30-8. As for South San Antonio, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-14.

As of now, neither Seguin nor the Bobcats have any future games scheduled.
