Garrett Francis posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Friday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 12 over 6.2 innings pitched. He was up against Corning and has quite the history against that squad, as he also had a great game the last time he faced them back in March of 2024. Francis has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Francis and Gridley will square off against Orland at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
