Soccer Recap: Central Davidson Takes a Loss

Central Davidson lost against North Davidson back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Spartans fell just short of the Black Knights by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Central Davidson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 207th, while North Davidson are ranked 81st).

Central Davidson's goal came courtesy of Carrie Street, who's now up to 11 this season.

Central Davidson's loss dropped their record down to 9-4-3. As for North Davidson, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Central Davidson will challenge Oak Grove at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Oak Grove will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Central Davidson surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Davidson, they will take on Ledford at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. North Davidson will be up against Ledford's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.21 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
