Baseball Game Preview: Valley View Cougars vs. Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns

The Valley View Cougars will head out to face off against the Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Last Monday, Valley View came up short against West Scranton and fell 5-1. The Cougars have struggled against the Invaders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Wallenpaupack Area got their first taste of in-conference action on Friday and they started things off strong. They had just enough and edged out West Scranton 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Buckhorns in their matchups with the Invaders: they've now won nine in a row.

Wallenpaupack Area's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Mark Nilsen, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. That run marked the first that Nilsen scored this season.

Wallenpaupack Area's record is now 2-5. As for Valley View, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.
