Preview: Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers vs. Many Tigers
Jonesboro-Hodge is on a four-game streak of home losses, Many an eight-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Having just played yesterday, the Jonesboro-Hodge Tigers will get right back to it and host the Many Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around on Tuesday.
Jonesboro-Hodge suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 70-39 loss at the hands of Winnfield. While losing is never fun, Jonesboro-Hodge can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 327th, while Winnfield is ranked 65th).
Meanwhile, Many was beaten by Red River 75-38 on Friday.
Jonesboro-Hodge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Many, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
Jonesboro-Hodge and Many were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, but Jonesboro-Hodge came up empty-handed after a 44-43 loss. Can Jonesboro-Hodge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
