Basketball Game Preview: Groveton Eagles vs. Farmington Tigers

The Groveton Eagles will venture away from home to take on the Farmington Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Last Wednesday, Groveton didn't have too much trouble with Gorham as they won 58-40. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Meanwhile, Farmington had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 15 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Wednesday. They blew past the Warriors, posting a 61-31 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Tigers have posted since December 6, 2024.

Groveton is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Farmington, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.

Groveton suffered a grim 51-31 defeat to Farmington in their previous matchup back in February of 2022. Can Groveton avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
