Baseball Recap: Autauga Academy's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Autauga Academy came into Friday's contest having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They won by a run and slipped past the Isabella Mustangs 4-3.

Logan Dunaway spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and two unearned) runs on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cody Tornow was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Lane Phillips also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Autauga Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Isabella, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-5.

Coming up, Autauga Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Holtville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Isabella, they will host Dallas County at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
