Softball Recap: South Sioux City Comes Up Short

South Sioux City lost against Tekamah-Herman back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Cardinals lost 13-3 to the Tigers. That's two games in a row now that the Cardinals have lost by exactly ten runs.

South Sioux City saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Paisyn Ross, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That double marked the first that Ross has hit this season. Aubrey Tranmer was another, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for South Sioux City and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Tekamah-Herman, they moved to 2-4 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

South Sioux City has already played their next matchup, a 14-1 defeat against Ponca on the 30th. As for Tekamah-Herman, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 12-4 win against Duchesne/Roncalli on the 30th.
