Soccer Game Preview: Fort Bend Elkins vs. Fort Bend Clements

The Fort Bend Elkins Knights will venture away from home to challenge the Fort Bend Clements Rangers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Fort Bend Clements took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Fort Bend Elkins, who comes in off a win.

Fort Bend Clements will be up against a hot Fort Bend Elkins team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went Fort Bend Elkins' way against Fort Bend Dulles on Tuesday as Fort Bend Elkins made off with an 8-0 win. Give the Knights' defense some credit: that's the team's third straight shutout.

Their offense was hitting Fort Bend Dulles from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal. Heldana Dawit led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Fort Bend Clements has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They fell 3-1 to Ridge Point on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Rangers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 406th, while the Panthers are ranked 27th).

The victory got Fort Bend Elkins back to even at 6-6. As for Fort Bend Clements, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7-2.
