Last Tuesday, Buckeye Trail was the victim of a tough 58-33 defeat at the hands of Union Local. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Buckeye Trail has scored all season.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Martins Ferry ultimately got the result they hoped for last Wednesday. They managed a 66-62 win over Harrison Central. The win was familiar territory for Martins Ferry who now have three in a row.
Buckeye Trail's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Martins Ferry, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Buckeye Trail came out on top in a nail-biter against Martins Ferry in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 62-60. Will Buckeye Trail repeat their success, or does Martins Ferry have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
