Football Game Preview: Christian Brothers Purple Wave vs. Briarcrest Christian Saints + How To Watch

The Christian Brothers Purple Wave are taking a road trip to challenge the Briarcrest Christian Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Christian Brothers will be strutting in after a win while Briarcrest Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

Christian Brothers took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 21-7 victory over PURE Academy. The Purple Wave haven't had any issues with the Royals recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

The critical scores for Christian Brothers came from William Mason, Javon Slaton, and Caden Starnes.

Meanwhile, Briarcrest Christian's game on Thursday was all tied up 21-21 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 48-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Southwind.

Christian Brothers will have to contain Hudson Tucker as he made an impact in Briarcrest Christian's last game. He threw for 231 yards and five TDs, and also rushed for 71 yards on only nine carries. Tucker is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in each of the last three games he's played. William Jones did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 76 receiving yards.

Briarcrest Christian suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 4-2. As for Christian Brothers, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Christian Brothers strolled past Briarcrest Christian when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 24-7. Will the Purple Wave repeat their success, or do the Saints have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
