Softball Recap: North Henderson's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

North Henderson had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Tuscola Mountaineers on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Mountaineers back in March, they had to take a 16-5 loss.

North Henderson got a great performance from Audrey Snowden as she tossed 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Those hits were Snowden's first of the season.

On the hitting side, Bailey Simpson was incredible, scoring a run while going 3-for-5. What's more, she posted three RBI, the most she's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Shelby Simpson, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

North Henderson's win bumped their record up to 3-11. As for Tuscola, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Coincidentally, North Henderson and Tuscola will both be playing East Henderson the next time they take the field. The Knights will head out to face the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mountaineers will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
