Softball Recap: Buckley Comes Up Short

Buckley was the 11-4 winner over Glen Lake when they last played one another back in June of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Bears fell 7-2 to the Lakers on Friday. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lily Leach was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season.

Buckley's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1-1 and their overall record down to 6-4-1. As for Glen Lake, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-6.

Coming up, Buckley will face off against Kingsley at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Glen Lake, they will take on Pine River Area at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
