Soccer Game Preview: Page vs. River Valley

The Page Sand Devils will venture away from home to take on the River Valley Dust Devils at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Page's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for nine straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Page lost 6-1 to Northwest Christian on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for River Valley's offense. They came up short against Yuma Catholic on Tuesday, falling 12-0. River Valley have struggled against Yuma Catholic recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Page's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for River Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.

Everything went Page's way against River Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2021, as Page made off with a 7-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Sand Devils since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
