Basketball Recap: Kellogg Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Kellogg was riding high fresh off their 69-44 takedown of Genesis Prep Academy last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Kellogg Wildcats fell just short of the Timberlake Tigers by a score of 58-55 on Tuesday. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Timberlake's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Lucas Valli?res led the charge by going 5 for 8 en route to 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brant Rush, who posted 11 points.

Kellogg's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-6. As for Timberlake, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 7-6 record this season.

Kellogg will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grangeville at 7:00 p.m. on January 31st. As for Timberlake, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 91-83 victory against Genesis Prep Academy on the 23rd.
