Baseball Recap: Newton-Conover Takes a Loss

Newton-Conover came into this matchup off a tough seven-run loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Bandys Trojans by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Red Devils of the 11-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Newton-Conover's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Bandys, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Newton-Conover will head out to take on Bunker Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Bunker Hill and four for Newton-Conover. As for Bandys, they are taking a road trip to challenge South Iredell at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
