Basketball Recap: Osceola Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Osceola waltzed into their contest on Monday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They secured a 45-40 W over the Montrose Blue Jays. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 40-27 two weeks ago.

It was another big night for Laney Uchtman, who went 5 for 11 en route to 17 points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Grace Colby, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.

Osceola pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.2 points per game. As for Montrose, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-6 record this season.

Osceola will host Appleton City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Montrose has already played their next game (against Bronaugh), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
