Softball Recap: Houston County Fighting Irish vs. McKenzie Rebels

Houston County won the last time they faced McKenzie and things went their way on Monday too. The Fighting Irish came out on top against the Rebels by a score of 8-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Fighting Irish.

Brilee Anderson was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits. Anderson was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ally Mitchell and Preslee Moore did most of the damage at the plate: Mitchell went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Moore scored a run while going 3-for-3.
