It was a good run, but Barry Western unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Pittsfield Saukees by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saukees this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in September.

Barry Western started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 25-27, 25-21, 18-16.

Paisley Patterson paced Barry Western's offense, picking up 14 kills. Patterson got some help from Alysa Bareis and her 25 assists.

Barry Western's loss dropped their record down to 20-10. As for Pittsfield, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, Barry Western and Pittsfield will both be playing Seymour the next time they take the court. The Wildcats will head out to face the Indians at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Saukees will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
