Softball Recap: Rocky Mountain Comes Up Short

Rocky Mountain managed to slip by Highland the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Rocky Mountain lost 14-5 to Highland on Friday. The Grizzlies were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Rams earlier this season, when they won 14-12.

Aubrey Sorensen and Kaitlyn Windau stepped up to the plate in a big way. Sorensen scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Windau scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-3. Brooke Singelyn also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Rocky Mountain now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Highland, their record now sits at 6-1.

Rocky Mountain didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 9-8 victory against Thunder Ridge on the 29th. As for Highland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-13 loss against Centennial on the 29th.
