St. Mary Catholic gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Algoma Wolves.
Fisher Mackenzie made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Mackenzie was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two RBI and a double.
