Patrick Henry had won six straight road games and Ashlynn Kirchoff did her part to make it seven on Thursday. The Patriots walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Point Loma Pointers with plenty of help from Kirchoff, who had 17 digs and three aces. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 10.1 digs per game.
Patrick Henry had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 25-14, 25-23.
Despite the loss, Point Loma saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Olivia Karvelis had 20 digs and six assists. Karvelis has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times she's played.

Meanwhile, Point Loma (ranked 135th) will meet Mission Bay (ranked 295th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
