Soccer Game Preview: Rising Sun vs. Milan

The Rising Sun Shiners are taking a road trip to face off against the Milan Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Milan took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Rising Sun, who comes in off a win.

Rising Sun took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over South Ripley. Rising Sun's winning goal came courtesy of Weston Cumberworth.

Meanwhile, Milan lost 5-1 to Shawe Memorial on Wednesday. Milan were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-0.

Milan's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10-1. As for Rising Sun, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5-2.

Rising Sun took their win against Milan in their previous meeting back in September by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Shiners since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
