Softball Recap: Cole Camp's Win on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Cole Camp ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Crest Ridge Cougars 11-10. The win was just business as usual for the Blue Birds, who after three games remain undefeated this season.

Kristin Carl was a standout: she went 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Madolyn Flores, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.

Carl wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Cole Camp kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Cole Camp's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Crest Ridge, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cole Camp will square off against Concordia at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Cole Camp will need to watch out since Concordia has now posted at least ten runs in their last three contests. As for Crest Ridge, they will face off against Midway at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
