Georgia high school football: Week 10 schedule, scores

No. 7 Westlake at No. 8 Carrollton highlights weekend slate.

This week's high school football schedule in Georgia is headlined by No. 7 Westlake (Atlanta) taking on No. 8 Carrollton on Friday.

Since losing to Langston Hughes 39-34 in the season opener, Carrollton has won seven straight including a win over No. 20 Rome. Quarterback Julian Lewis, the top-rated player in the Class of 2026, has thrown for 29 touchdowns.

Four-star Alabama commit Caleb Odom is Lewis' top weapon. The 6-foot-6 senior tight end has 28 receptions for 491 yards and seven touchdowns.

Westlake is 6-1 and is led by a senior defense featuring seven FBS commits including Antwan Smith (Kentucky), Rae'mon Mosby (Louisville), Harper Holloman (UConn) and Christian Peterson (Central Florida). That unit has allowed 18.4 points per game and intercepted nine passes this season.



No. 5 Newton (Covington) puts its undefeated record on the line as No. 22 Parkview (Lilburn) comes to town. Newton, which is winning by an average margin of 27 points per game, won last year's meeting 20-18.

Parkview is 5-2 and coming off a 28-27 loss to Archer (Lawrenceville). The other loss came against Mill Creek (Hoschton), the top team in the state.

Another game between ranked teams is undefeated No. 6 Thomas County Central (Thomasville) heading on the road to play No. 17 Houston County (Warner Robins). Houston County is 6-1 with the loss coming against No. 11 Lee County in a 44-35 game. The Bears are putting up nearly 50 points a game with four-star junior Antwann Hill Jr. passing the rock.
