Football Game Preview: Lapel Bulldogs vs. Indianapolis Lutheran Saints

Lapel is 0-4 against Indianapolis Lutheran since September of 2021 but things could change on Friday. The Bulldogs will face off against the Saints at 7:00 p.m. Lapel will come into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.

Lapel is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They walked away with a 28-15 win over Triton Central.

Lapel got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Devin Craig out in front who threw for 228 yards and two TDs, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. What's more, Craig racked up 25 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in September. A healthy portion of Craig's aerial production (121 yards to be exact) went to Jaxon Cripe, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Lapel's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB 5.5 times. Isaiah Young was especially locked on to Triton Central's QB and sacked him four times. Young is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made eight or more in each of the last ten games he's played.

Meanwhile, Indianapolis Lutheran didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Heritage Christian on Friday, but they still walked away with a 28-24 win. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Lapel's record is now 12-0. As for Indianapolis Lutheran, their record now sits at 11-1.

Lapel was taken down by Indianapolis Lutheran 35-0 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Bulldogs, D'Marco Wilson (who rushed for 249 yards and one score while picking up 10.4 yards per carry, and also picked up 33 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time.
