Baseball Recap: DeForest Comes Up Short

DeForest was the 10-5 winner over Oregon when they last played one another back in April of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Norskies fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Norskies have suffered since May 30, 2025.

Carter Meyers was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Tru Killerlain, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one stolen base.

DeForest's loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Oregon, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-8.

Looking ahead, Oregon is taking a road trip to challenge Verona at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. DeForest will be paying especially close attention to the Panthers' matchup: after the Panthers face off against the Wildcats, they'll take on DeForest again at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
