Volleyball Recap: River Hill Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for River Hill, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Long Reach Lightning by a score of 3-1 on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Hawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

River Hill was especially dominant in the fourth set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-23, 21-25, 25-12.

Despite the loss, Long Reach still got an impressive performance from Delaney Strawhorn, who had 13 digs and five assists.

The victory got River Hill back to even at 1-1. As for Long Reach, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

River Hill will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Atholton at 6:00 p.m. on October 6. As for Long Reach, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Wilde Lake on the 16th.
