Basketball Recap: Senatobia Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

Senatobia waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 58-51 win over the Independence Wildcats. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 53-51 back in December of 2024.

Senatobia pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. As for Independence, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-8 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Senatobia will take on Byhalia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Senatobia knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Byhalia likes a good challenge. As for Independence, they will face off against Holly Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
