Softball Recap: Fyffe Takes a Loss

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Fyffe's offense. They fell just short of the Geraldine Bulldogs by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-0 back in March.

Fyffe's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Geraldine, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Fyffe will challenge rival Asbury at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Red Devils are on a six-game streak of home losses, and the Rams a seven-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck. Geraldine is set to square off against their familiar foe Collinsville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
