Basketball Recap: Sterling's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sterling had won two straight games and Madison Sims did her part to make it three on Saturday. The Sterling Silver Knights rang in the new year with a 30-18 win over the Robbinsville Ravens thanks in part to Sims, who posted 11 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Those 11 points gave her a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Lexi Kuhn, who had three points in addition to ten boards and three steals. She has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last three times she's played.

Sterling's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Robbinsville, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sterling will square off against Collingswood at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Robbinsville, it'll be Battle of the Birds when the Robbinsville Ravens take on the J.P. Stevens Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
