Softball Recap: Larkin Takes a Loss

After flying high against Aurora East on Tuesday, Larkin came back down to earth. The Royals lost 11-5 to the South Elgin Storm on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Royals in their meetings with the Storm: they've now lost seven in a row.

Ali Herrick made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Larkin's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for South Elgin, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Larkin will challenge rival Bartlett at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, South Elgin is set to square off against their familiar foe Streamwood at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
