Baseball Game Preview: Sterling Rangers vs. Nederland Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Sterling will face off against Nederland. Sterling will welcome Nederland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sterling is returning to their home field after beating Nederland on theirs, despite the fact Nederland has dominated at home this season. Sterling came out on top against Nederland by a score of 6-2 on Tuesday.

David Benavides spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on six hits and racked up nine Ks. Those nine strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ryan Rodriguez, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Joesph Franco, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

With the defeat, Nederland broke their 13-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-3. As for Sterling, their victory bumped their record up to 7-11.
