Summit Shasta entered their tilt with Washington on Friday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They blew past the Eagles 3-0. The Black Bears have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

While Summit Shasta won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20, 25-22.

Summit Shasta's win bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Washington, their loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 9-6.

Summit Shasta and Washington should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Black Bears will take on University Prep Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (244 vs. 983). Meanwhile, Washington (ranked 373rd) will meet San Leandro (ranked 751st) at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
