Basketball Game Preview: Corinth Holders Pirates vs. Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs

Corinth Holders is 1-6 against Southeast Raleigh since January of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The two teams will face off at 6:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Corinth Holders will bounce into Tuesday's contest after beating Willow Spring, who they had gone 1-7 against in their eight prior meetings. Corinth Holders had just enough and edged Willow Spring out 59-57. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Pirates have posted since February 19, 2024.

Corinth Holders relied on the efforts of Darla Lee, who posted 22 points, and Jada Vanderhorst, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lee has scored at least a third of Corinth Holders' points. Chloe Kozloff was another key player, going 5 of 11 on her way to 12 points.

Meanwhile, Southeast Raleigh entered their tilt with South Garner on Monday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They came out on top against the Titans by a score of 57-49.

Southeast Raleigh pushed their record up to 16-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.8 points per game. As for Corinth Holders, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Corinth Holders took a serious blow against Southeast Raleigh in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, falling 59-14. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Corinth Holders was down 34-7.
