Basketball Game Preview: Oglethorpe County Patriots vs. Commerce Tigers

Oglethorpe County is 0-5 against Commerce since November of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Patriots will head out to face off against the Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Oglethorpe County has given up an average of 59 points per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Oglethorpe County came up short against Elbert County and fell 56-47.

Meanwhile, Commerce waltzed into their contest on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 55-46 victory over the Spartans. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Spartans are ranked 210th).

Commerce's record now sits at 18-3. As for Oglethorpe County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-18.

Oglethorpe County couldn't quite get it done against Commerce in their previous meeting on January 9th as they fell 70-57. Can the Patriots avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
